The IGC

The IGC has become the voice of the victims and survivors of the Bosnian war and genocide, and continues to fight to achieve justice for them.

The work of the IGC, largely through the enormous efforts of Emir Ramic (in collaboration with our many esteemed colleagues) has helped to educate, inform and influence the Canadian government. The IGC has a number of prominent political supporters, most notably Canadian MP’s Brian Masse, Paul Dewar, Irwin Cotler, and former MP’s Borys Wrzesnewskyj and Rob Oliphant. In fact, it is thanks to the IGC and its many supporters that the Canadian government passed the Srebrenica Remembrance Day motion in 2010, recognizing that genocide took place in Srebrenica in July of 1995.
