Dr. Emir Ramić
Emir Ramić was born in Prijedor. He graduated from Political Science at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo in 1982, in 1988 he acquired the scientific degree of the magisterium of legal sciences from the Law School in Banja Luka, B&H and in 2015 he earned a Ph.D. at the University of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada gaining a scientific degree in political science.
His academic career began in the 1980s when he became a president of the Student Organization of the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo and one of the editors of its newspaper “Politologist”. His academic career continues in 1994 as a director and lecturer of Bosnian history and Bosnian language at the International Academy in Bergneustadt, Germany. Academic career continued in 2001 as a director and a lecturer of Bosnian history and Bosnian language at the International Academy in Hamilton, Canada. Between 2003 and 2013 he worked as an assistant at the University of Hamilton Peace Studies in Ontario, Canada. In the period of 2006 to 2008, while working as a president of the Congress of North American Bosnians, the congress was profiled as the most important Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian institution in Diaspora. It has become an academic voice and a scientific research voice of American and Canadian Bosniaks and all B&H citizens living in the North America in promoting the most important cultural, social, academic and other values of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the American Melting Pot and Canadian Cultural Mosaic. Between 2009 and 2010 Ramic worked as an assistant director of relations with state governments at the American University in B&H. Since 2010, he has been a director of the Genocide Research Institute, Canada. Since 2015 he has been working as a Professor of Peace Studies at the University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 2005, he actively worked and contributed to the adoption by the federal parliaments of the United States, Canada, Australia, the European Parliament and parliaments of a dozen other states of resignation of genocide in Srebrenica and B&H. In this process, the relevant legislative bodies of the aforementioned states were informed by Ramic regarding scientific research facts about genocide in Srebrenica and B&H.
Scientific and professional papers
He is engaged in research and scientific study of the crime of genocide, the most complex social phenomenon in social reality. The results of scientific research into genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law in B&H, as well as the wider generalization of the results of empirical research, have contributed to the founding, constitution and development of the Genocide Law in the systematics of social and humanistic sciences. Domestic and foreign analysts recognize him as one of the best known resources in the subject of genocide.
As a director of the renowned scientific research institute of the Genocide Research, Canada he has also revealed to the world the scale of Canadian General Lewis MacKenzi's crimes during his mission in B&H. He has given a great scientific research contribution to the genocide in B&H now being studied at the Canadian schools. After five years of intense lobbying, the Canadian Parliament unanimously adopted the first, and later, the second Resolution on Genocide in B&H. Law on Genocide in B&H - Bill C - 533, (Canada will be the only country in the world that will allow the victims of the genocide from B&H who are living in Canada to receive justice through its own state law). He also launched a multidimensional scientific research and a lobbying project against those denying the genocide. He participated in establishing the Club of Friends of B&H in the Canadian Parliament. Organized a permanent monument of genocide in B&H at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. He has presented Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Canadian universities. He participated in the project of building a memorial to the victims of genocide in Srebrenica, in the Canadian town of Windsor which was the first such memorial built in Diaspora. His scientific research and lobbying made the Canadian government support the International White Ribbon Day. He did and presented an elaborate to the relevant Canadian authorities on the recognition of the Bosnian language and the national name of Bosniaks in Canadian Cultural Mosaic. His results of the fundamental scientific research of genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law have been scientifically presented in scientific works.

Participation in scientific and other conferences
Emir Ramić is a carrier and participant in the design, management and realization of scientific research projects, as well as in the organization and work of a large number of scientific congresses, conferences and symposia, both in B&H and abroad. In several scientific and other gatherings, he presented fundamental empirical scientific research in the field of genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law, in particular genocide in Srebrenica and genocide in Prijedor in the North American, European and Australian regions. With his works, and especially his participation in international conferences, Ramić has also influenced and made an international plan, especially in Canada, of documents that have a historical significance for B&H, especially regarding the determination of the character of the armed conflict in RB&H (pointing out the aggressor) and responsibility for the crimes committed. As a researcher and director of the Institute for Genocide Research Canada on the tenth year anniversary of Genocide of Bosniaks in the UN Safe Zone, Srebrenica, July 1995, Ramić organized a scientific meeting to adopt a resolution on genocide in Srebrenica at the Canadian Parliament. The same group was organized when adopting another resolution on genocide in Srebrenica and B&H at the Canadian Parliament. Thanks to the research results of Emir Ramić and the reputation of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada, several scientific conferences have been organized at the universities in Canada on genocide in B&H. He also reviewed and prepared a larger number of press for publications. He has held many lectures at many universities in the world, especially in the United States and Canada. He has published several texts in the media. As an acquaintance of the subjects of science, i.e. disciplines and subjects of research, and thanks to the great knowledge of the methodology of scientific research and the responsible and conscientious application of scientific methods in the process of scientific investigation of Holocaust, genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law, Emir Ramić has achieved scientific results, which, among other things, derogates from the "results" of quasi-investigations and quasi-investigators. In that sense, he demonstrated all the virtues and the most positive human traits, scientific and professional qualities, which today makes him undoubtedly among the most recognized scientists on genocide and other forms of crime against humanity and international law. He gave a large number of interviews for domestic and foreign public information media.
Awards and praises
He has intellectually grown into a particularly serious, well-known and respected scientific researcher and pedagogue of contemporary science of genocide. He is a member of the International Association of Genocide Researchers, the United States and Canada Holocaust Memorandum Committee, the Kandan Museum of Human Rights, the World without Genocide Association, the United Nations Associations, and many other organizations for the protection of human rights and freedoms around the world. He has also won several awards and acknowledgments: The special plaques of the Canadian Parliament for Contributing to the Knowledge of Genocide and the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms, the Golden Badge of the University of Sarajevo, for special merit in the field of scientific research and presentation of the results of scientific research on genocide in Srebrenica and B&H in Canada, a great plaque of the Institute for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo, the Great Plaques of the Congregation of North American Bosniaks, the Great Plaques of the Canadian B&H community and many others. In his scope and scientific value he has made significant scientific achievements from the field of contemporary science of genocide. With all the scientific and social engagement of Emir Ramić, it can be said that he is the one of the greatest true fighters for freedom, human rights, human dignity and human and social truth and justice, and based on the commitment and orientation, he is undoubtedly a man who is true, courageous and the unswerving anti-fascists, and who remains a consistent of anti-fascist tradition. Emir Ramić, as a researcher of genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law, is at the same time a witness to the most dramatic and most serious events in B&H’s history at the end of the 20th century and a victim of genocide himself. With such experience, Emir Ramić has the integration and perfection of rich research experience as well as compassion for the pain and sorrow with the victims of genocide, which inspire and encourage him to strongly explore and proves the genocide as a human shame, and as one of the greatest threats to the modern world, human civilization, cultures and to the people's traditions on the planet Earth.
