Dear Ms. Alaimo:

Last week we have been notified and have received information which if true could be a a very disturbing news for a large population of Bosnian and Herzegovinians living in a Chicago area. On behalf of many victims of the Srebrenica genocide and the Bosnian war victims living in the area, we would like to ask of you to please provide us with the information where you have challenged and denied the Srebrenica genocide as well as to provide us with an evidence where you have annulled the study of the said genocide at your school.

While awaiting for your reply, we would like to remind you of the following facts:

1.      the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia have issued final verdicts that the Army and Police of the Republika Srpska committed genocide, and that the Republic of Serbia did not act in accordance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

2.      the US Congress and Senate adopted several resolutions in regards to the genocide committed against Bosniaks by the Bosnian Serb forces.

Ms. Alaimo, we would like to remind you that in the case that you have removed from your school’s curriculum the undeniable and proven historical fact that the Bosnian genocide was committed, you have directly hurt the survivors of the said genocide, many of whom its survivors have found refuge precisely in this state and in the the United States in general. In doing so, you also have attacked the decisions of the world's supreme legal authorities, the courts of the United Nations, with an anti-civilization act, thus directly endangering truth, justice and the international law. By your eventual decision to amend undisputed and proven historical facts, you have also called into question the resolutions of the highest U.S. legislatures, Congress and the Senate, as well as the resolutions of the Illinois legislatures.

Therefore, once again, we ask of you to provide us with an answer as soon as possible as to whether, and if so, on the basis of which arguments you have annulled the study of the Srebrenica genocide at your school.

We hereby refer you to the official sources which contain the verdicts in the regards of the Srebrenica genocide, as well as the resolution of the American Congress on the Srebrenica genocide.
