The Grand Plaque arrive, and I am deeply grateful that you nominated me. 

I do hope that travesties against civilization as occurred in Bosnia, Syria and now in Ukraine will come to an end soon. It was so distressing to me that the lessons of Bosnia were not learned, and that the war crimes unfolded in Syria without major governments saying a word.  

(I am now writing a book about the war in Syria, focused on the rise of ISIS, which gave the U.S. an alibi for ignoring the suffering in Syria).  

Now, in Ukraine, there’s wide interest again in war crimes, and major governments are putting the spotlight on them in real time.  It could save many lives.
