Genocid u Srebrenici je bio zločin protiv čovječnosti i protiv Boga

Brutalnost genocida u Srebrenici se ne može zaboraviti, ne samo dok živi naša generacija, nego za sva vremena. Razmjer ovog genocida mora se pamtiti, a ne poricati. Svjedočenje preživjelih ne može se osporavati, niti se historijske činjenice mogu mijenjati. Genocid u Srebrenici je zločin protiv porodica žrtava i mnogih preživjelih koji još uvijek nose ožiljke i osjećaju bol. Genocid u Srebrenici je zločin protiv Evrope i protiv vjere i prirodnog poretka iz kojeg su žrtve i njihovo potomstvo zauvijek eliminisani.

Institutu za istraživanje genocida Kanada tuguje s preživjelim žrtvama i svjedicima genocida u Srebrenici. Osjeća njihovu tjeskobu. ÄŒuje njihov krik i osjeća njihovu bol. Na putu do istine i pravde, kroz, otpore, borbu i beznaÄ‘e, preživjele žrtve i svjedoci genocida izrastaju u legende, u simbole čovjeka, civilizacije, svijeta za budućnost bez genocida. I niko nema pravo tražiti od majki Srebrenice, od Bošnjaka, od Bosne i Hercegovine da zaboravi genocid, kao što nitko nikad nije ni pomislio tražiti od židovskog naroda da zaboravi holocaust. Istina i pravda neće potvrditi svoje vrijednosti dok naredbodavci i izvršioci genocida ne budu kažnjeni, a žrtve obeštećene.

The Genocide in Srebrenica was a crime against humanity and against God

The Genocide in Srebrenica can never be forgotten not just in our generation, but also for all time.  The brutality of this crime must be remembered not denied. The testimony of those who survived cannot be refuted and the historical fact cannot be altered. The Genocide in Srebrenica was committed against the victims’ families who are still bear  their scars and all still bear their pain. It was a crime committed against Europe, against religion and the natural order from which the victims and their progeny have been forever taken.

Institute for Research of Genocide Canada mourns with victims’ families . We feel their anguish. We hear their cry and feel their pain. On the way to truth and justice, through, resistance, struggle and despair, victims’ families grow into legends, into symbols of human civilization and the world of the future without genocide. And nobody has the right to ask the victims’ families, Bosniaks, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to forget the genocide, as no one had ever thought to ask the Jewish people to forget the holocaust. Truth and justice will confirm its value when the commanders and perpetrators of genocide are punished and the victims compensated.
