First government plane carrying Syrian refugees arrives in Toronto

Only in Canada Prime Minister gives welcome refugees. Thank you Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. We were refugees. Canadian Bosniaks, most of them the victims of aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina,  know what it means to be in the aggression, genocide, violent ethnic cleansing, we know what it means to leave homeland. But also we know every human being in Canada is free to live his faith, nationality, tradition, culture, language, fully. It's the Canadian way. It is Canadian Cultural Mosaic. Now the time has come again for Canadians to come together to welcome the Syrian refugees to their new home. Resettling refugees is a proud and important part of Canada's tradition. It demonstrates to the world that Canada has a shared responsibility to help people who are displaced and persecuted. Refugees have lost their homes, they are stateless. So it's important to give them a chance and give them an opportunity and welcome them to a country that has space for them. On behalf of the Institute for Research of Genocide: Welcome to Canada to the first refugees arriving from Syria. Canada has once again shown the world how to open its heart and welcome in people who are fleeing of crimes against humanity. Thanks Canada.
