Dear Hon. Prime Minister Trudeau

On behalf of Canadian Bosniaks, their organizations, and communities the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGC) and the Congress of North American Bosniaks (CNAB)  congratulate the Liberal Party of Canada and Hon. Justin Trudeau, son of former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, on the victory in the 2019 elections.

As citizens of Canada, we expect the Liberals to fulfill the promise of a better future, hope and positive vision that unites all Canadians.

We congratulate the Canadian Parliament elections in large — Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, great friends of truth and justice, the Liberals Bob Bratina and Rob Oliphant, and Brian Masse from the New Democratic Party, the sponsor of both parliamentary resolutions on genocide in Srebrenica and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the sponsor of marking the Day of World White Bands in Canada and the sponsor of the Petition e-1837 Stop Srebrenica Genocide Denial in Canada. With the aforementioned and other elected members of the Canadian Parliament lobbying for the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the mission will be easier and more successful.

In the wake of this historic event and all that the future will bring, Canadian Bosniaks hope that justice and a bright future will be ahead for Bosnia and Herzegovina after many years caused by the genocide and destruction brought to our homeland.  

 We wish you luck and success, and extend our sincere support to your government in bringing peace, democratic, political and economic reforms to Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the rest of the world. We look forward to opening a dialog with your government on Balkan issues, and hopes to be a resource for you if at any time we may assist. Canadian Bosniaks are excited about the change that is forthcoming!
