It is my pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome to everyone virtually participating in the 30th anniversary celebration of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day. This virtual event is a way to bring members of your community together to celebrate your shared culture and identity. As you prepare to mark Bosnia and Herzegovina's 30th Independence Day, I would like to extend thanks to the community for their many contributions to Toronto, which help make our city strong and vibrant.Toronto is one of the world's most diverse cities and home to people from all over the world. The valued contributions of diverse communities strengthen our society and contribute to our city's motto, "Diversity Our Strength."Events like these celebrate the rich cultures and traditions that make our city so unique, and are essential to a prosperous, vital and livable Toronto. On behalf of Toronto City Council, please accept my best wishes for a memorable event and continued success.
