Subject: Determining the death of Academician Muamer Zukorlić

Your Excellency,

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia living in the United States and Canada, members of the signatory organizations, are deeply concerned about the announcement by members of the Zukorlic family that there is a reasonable suspicion that academician Dr. Muamer Zukorlić did not die a natural death, but was poisoned.

Academician Muamer Zukorlic was the leader of the Party of Justice and Reconciliation, an MP and vice president of the Serbian Parliament, and a former mufti of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia. He died at the age of 51 on November 6, 2021. His death is a great loss not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, but also for the whole world because his work advocated a better world, protection of human rights and freedoms, a world without genocide, and a world without war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Academician Muamer Zukorlić, as a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also had a registered residence in Srebrenica, the city where the genocide against Bosniaks was committed, the greatest crime after the Holocaust in Europe. The Srebrenica genocide was ruled by the largest international tribunal in The Hague, formed by the United Nations. Academician Zukorlić made an active contribution to the institutionalization of the culture of remembrance and remembrance of genocide, believing that truth and justice are the best way to a better common future in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, as well as in Europe and the world.

Americans and Canadians, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, express their support for the efforts of the family of academician Muamer Zukorlić, to investigate all the circumstances and determine the real causes of his sudden death.

Bearing in mind that the USA and Canada are the leaders of the libertarian, democratic world, and that there are suspicions that the death of academician Muamer Zukorlić did not occur naturally, but that it was a consequence of poisoning. We ask the competent political and other entities in the USA and Canada to take an interest in the "Academician Zukorlic Case," insist and influence the competent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia to conduct a thorough investigation, but also help by all possible means to, without a doubt, establish the real facts regarding the sudden death of Muamer Zukorlić.
