Uoči 11. jula, dana koji je rezolucijom Kanadskog parlamenta proglašen Danom sjećanja na žrtve genocida u Srebrenici, historijski zaštitni simboli Hamiltona su osvijetljene zelenom bojom u znak odavanja pijeteta žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici. Na velikom elektronskom panou ispred Skupštine Hamiltona je napisano: "11. juli Dan sjećanja na Srebrenicu. Odajemo počast žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici”. Historijski elektronski simbol Hamiltina je uoči 11. jula u zelenoj i bijeloj boji u čast žrtava genocida u Srebrenici. Zastava BiH je postavljena na jarboj ispred Skupštine Hamiltona u počast žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici.
