It is my pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome to everyone attending today's event celebrating Statehood Day hosted by the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada. Best wishes to everyone who is taking part in this event. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the rich history and traditions of the Bosnian community. This community contributes greatly to the rich cultural mosaic of our city. Toronto is one of the world's most multicultural cities and home to people from all over the world. The valued contributions of multicultural communities strengthen our society and contribute to our city's motto "Diversity Our Strength".On behalf of Toronto City Council, please accept my best wishes for a memorable event and continued success.
