This letter is to thank to honourable members of the first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship for your expressed willingness and very important activities regarding the foundation of the  first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship in Canadian Parliament.

 

The first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship will help to direct attention to the needs of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina  and Canadian Bosnians, and specially to foster and improve the relations between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

I am honoured that Canada  was one of the first nations to recognize the newly independent Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am convinced that the first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship will work democratic orientation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and strongly support the further strengthening of Bosnian government  and peoples and their respect for human rights, rule of law, and free market economics, and reaffirm Canadian support for Bosnia’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration.      

 

International and specially Canadian support for continued improvements to protect the rights of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina is still needed.  Bipartisan support of the first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship will be integral to achieve these goals. I am convicted that the first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship will work on remembering on long history of multi-ethnic, cultural and religious tolerance.

I once again congratulate the members of the first Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship.

 

I also congratulate Embassy of the Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada and the Bosnian Community led by Congress of North American Bosniaks, Canada Branch for the historical act for better relationship between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
