Pismo Kanadskom muzeju za ljudska prava

The Institute for Research of Genocide- Canada: the voice for the victims and survivors of the aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is disappointed to find out that the recently established Human Rights museum is planning to placed the Srebrenica exhibit beside the Restrooms. Over the course of the day, we have been receiving serious complaints from survivors and families of the victims of the Srebrenica genocide about this incident. the members of the Bosniak community are deeply upset and offended to hear about the inapproriate placement of the Srebrenica exhibit.

As you may be aware, the Srebrenica Genocide was the largest crime against humanity in Europe since the Holocaust. Placing the Srebrenica exhibit near the restrooms  demonstrates disrespect and demeans the seriousness of the crimes committed against the Bosniaks during the aggression and genocide.  Furthermore, this is an insult to all those who have lobbied for the recognition of the Srebrenica Genocide in the Canadian parliament and all our friends of truth and justice.

With this letter, the Institute for Research of Genocide -Canada and all friends of truth and justice ask that you find a more appropriate location for the Srebrenica exhibit. We hope, as a respectable Canadian institution, you will fulfill this request.

The victims, families of the victims and survivors deserve that.

Thank you
